‘INTERACTIVE INTERIORS ’

‘Interactive Interiors’ - served as a prompt to create machines with a focus on the 5 senses - Sight, Sound, Touch, Taste, Smell - and intense emotions. Displayed below are select projects. Figure 1.A

SOUND
A Project based on mimicking the sound of keyboard noises through touch.

PLEASURE

The emotion ‘pleasure’ connotes something that brings joy. This machine uses a water pump and an arduino to periodically water dry moss, bringing it back to it’s natural state.

Figure 1.C
FEAR
Time is the one thing humans will never be able to control. We all have our timeline. This machine serves as a clock, programmed to disperse ink every 5 seconds and present how limited and pre- cious our time on earth is.

WONDER

Photosynthesis was always fascinating as a child. For the emotion ‘wonder’, this 3D printed machine replicates an imagined ‘joy’ for the flowers, triggering the motor to spin when strong light is detected.
